The President of the Information Affairs Authority, Shaikh Fawaz Bin Mohammed Al Khalifa received in his office today an Egyptian Press delegation, from Al Joumhouria newspaper, Middle East News Agency, and a number of outstanding students who finished their secondary level, who visited the Kingdom within a media programme organized by Al Joumhouria newspaper. Shaikh Fawaz hailed the strong historical and brotherly relations bonding Bahrain and Egypt in all areas and the cooperation and progress they both witness particularly in the fields of press and media. Shaikh Fawaz welcomed the visiting delegation, and stressed Bahrain’s keenness to strengthen and support cooperation with Egypt in the press and media areas, and benefit from the advanced Egyptian expertise in those areas. Shaikh Fawaz highlighted in that regard, the Egyptian distinctive media competencies who contributed through a long history in the Egyptian media and press renaissance, as well as in the development of the Arab press and media march. Shaikh Fawaz also pointed out the importance of exchanging those visits between the press and media delegations who contributed in reinforcing communication, cooperation and coordination between Bahrain and Egypt for achieving the common interests of the two countries and their peoples. Shaikh Fawaz hailed the role of the Egyptian Press through its great history, in informing about and defending the just issues of the Arab nation, and stressed that the Egyptian Press could efficiently and with a distinctive press style reach to the readers of all levels, depending on the credibility, where it obtained the news from its sources and unfolded the whole truth to the public in full transparency. For their part, the members of the visiting Egyptian delegation expressed their thanks and appreciation for the IAA President for his keenness on reinforcing the press and media cooperation between Bahrain and Egypt, commending his sustainable efforts in developing the Bahraini media to attain the high position it was worthy of. The Egyptian delegation also highlighted that sustainable progress of Bahrain press and media was due to the freedom and openness climate witnessed by the Kingdom, and that were also ensured by the reform project of His Majesty the King, wishing Bahrain all progress, development and prosperity. On the other hand, the Egyptian delegation visited Bahrain’s Radio and Television, where they were briefed on the latest studios, and listened to an explanation about the modern methods used in the broadcast of those programmes, and the modernization and development Bahrain’s Radio and Television had witnessed since their inception. The delegation also visited Bahrain News Agency and the News Center, where they were briefed on the various departments of the Agency and the Centre and the editorial offices. They also listened to an explanation about the workflow, how the news, images, news movies where broadcast via the latest technology used and the modernization and development Bahrain News Agency had witnessed in all its departments and news facilities. The Egyptian delegation expressed their admiration of what they had seen of sustainable development in Bahrain Radio and Television, and praised the working media cadres and competencies and their prominent role in elevating the Bahraini media, wishing all success and progress for the interests of Bahrain.
