HE the High Representative for the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations Nassir Abdulaziz Al Nasser has met with Chinese Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Li Baodong and Vice Minister of State for Media and Press Affairs Li Tong.
The two sides reviewed the relations between the Chinese government and the UN Alliance of Civilizations, and discussed ways of promoting relations to implement joint projects.
They also discussed ways of enhancing China's support to the UN organization as an active actor in the alliance's Group of Friends since its formation.
HE Al Nasser reviewed with the Chinese officials the organization's activities and programs in the four priority areas for action: Education, Youth, Migration, Media.
The High Representative for the UN Alliance of Civilizations also paid a brief visit to Macau where he discussed with the Head of the International Cultural Exchange Centre the possibility of holding a festival for feature and documentary films that focus on pluralism and diversity in order to strengthen the role of the arts in building bridges of understanding between different cultures and civilizations.
