Qatari Deputy Foreign Minister for Foreign Affairs Mohammad bin Abdullah Al-Rumaihi inaugurated on Sunday an exhibition part of activities of the 35th GCC Summit due to kick off in Doha on Tuesday.
Al-Rumaihi told reporters following the inauguration that this joint exhibition of the various GCC media bodies is the start of the deliberations of the GCC gathering.
He added that the exhibition displays all publications carried out by these Gulf media bodies over the past years which included a number of historic books and distinguished media productions.
He invited the public to visit the exhibition to become acquainted with the various media publications of each GCC state especially as the convention of the exhibition this year was held in a shopping mall.
For his part, Director General of the Joint Production Programs for the Gulf Cooperation Council countries Ali Al-Rayyes told KUNA that he was pleased to take part in this exhibition as part of the media campaign, adding that his body has proposed a number of recommendations to be presented to the GCC leaders during their two-day meeting.
He praised the cooperation of the various GCC media bodies which serve the supreme interest of the six GCC states.
For his part, Director of the Kuwait Information Ministry's Department of the GCC Media Affairs Mohammad Al-Badah told KUNA that the Ministry of Information was very keen to take part in such significant events, adding that today's participation was part of Kuwait's active media participation in the international and regional media gatherings.
