Egyptian Ambassador in Kinshasa Hani Salah posted Congolese media on the conditions in Egypt and the ongoing efforts to combat terror, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry said in a statement Tuesday.
Addressing a plenary press conference, he acquainted the Congolese media with the efforts being exerted by state bodies, armed forces and security agencies to fight terror.
On Thursday, the army waged a war against terror in Sinai after five checkpoints in Sinai were simultaneously attacked. Scores of army personnel and terrorists were killed and injured.
Salah also focused on giant projects in Egypt, especially the new Suez Canal project.
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has invited his Congolese counterpart Joseph Kabila to attend the new Suez Canal inauguration slated for August, Salah added.
Salah also highlighted the positive developments in the Egyptian-Congolese relations, referring to the grants, aids and training sessions offered by Egypt to Congo.
