Interior Minister Magdy Abdel Ghaffar ordered an investigation into a police officer's raiding of a journalist's home without any reason, the Ministry of the Interior informed Journalists' Syndicate Chief Yahia Qallash.
The officer, from Dar Essalam police station, stormed the house of journalist Ahmed Faris who was not at his home during the incident.
According to a statement, issued by the Syndicate of Journalists on Saturday, Qallash had earlier sent a notice to the interior minister, informing him about the incident's details.
Details included the failure of the police station to receive the journalist's claim; a matter which forced him to file his complaint over the incident at Dar Essalam's prosecution.
