Egypt has slammed the beheading of Japanese journalist Kenji Goto by Daesh terrorist group.
In a press release, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Badr Abdel Aati described the beheading as a "heinous, brutal and barbaric" act that contradicts with Islamic teachings.
He announced Egypt's support for the Japanese government and people and also offered condolences to the victim's family.
Meanwhile, he asserted the importance of unifying the international community's efforts to eliminate terrorism.
