Prince Turki bin Sultan, deputy minister of culture and information for media affairs, died yesterday at the age of 53. Funeral prayer for Prince Turki will be held at Imam Turki bin Abdullah Mosque in Riyadh today after Asr prayer, the Royal Court said. Culture and Information Minister Abdul Aziz Khoja expressed his condolences on Prince Turki’s death and commended his contributions to the development of the ministry’s various sectors. “His death is a big loss,” he added. Prince Turki, who had obtained a master’s degree in international media from the University of Syracuse in the US, held important government positions. He was general supervisor of Saudi sports channels. Princess Seeta bint Fahd Al-Damir, mother of Asir Gov. Prince Faisal bin Khaled, also died yesterday. She was 90. Funeral prayer for the late princess will be held at Imam Turki bin Abdullah Mosque today after Asr prayer. From: Arab News
