Deputy Prime Minister, Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, stressed the need to develop a qualitative media based on national plans to contribute to the creation of an informed public opinion.
This came as he today received Information Affairs Minister, Isa bin Abdulrahman Al-Hamadi, and congratulated him on his appointment.
Deputy Premier said the Kingdom of Bahrain is replete with promising Bahraini nationals capable of sustaining national achievements amid a media environment enjoys openness and freedom of expression, thanks to the Royal reforms that guarantee uplifting media sector during upcoming stage.
He expressed confidence in the aptitudes of the Information Minister along with national cadres to further develop Bahraini media by the implementation of directives of HM the King and HRH Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier.
He emphasized the importance and effectiveness of media at the level of governments and nations amid unprecedented rapid developments in the technical spheres that necessitate support to keep pace with these changes.
Information Affairs Minister thanked Deputy Premier for his support, vowing working harder to achieve aspirations of the leadership and people in line with the ambitious visions that rely on national cadres.
He underlined boosting media cooperation with all government bodies and local and international media institutions in the forthcoming phase.
