Al Gomhuria Egyptian newspaper’s editor-in-chief, Gamal Abdel Rahim has denied rumours of being sacked from his position. He further went on to say that he will continue his job normally until he receives an official decree. Abdel Rahim added in his declarations to Arabstoday that: "The problem started when our Editor in the Ministry of Justice, who has been in the industry for nearly fifteen years, sent news about a ban issued to Field Marshal Tantawi and Lieutenant General Anan from travelling. However we later discovered that it was not true thus denying the news in the same publishing area thereafter.”
