When it comes to the MX-5 there’s no shortage of special edition models to choose from. The problem with driving the world's best-selling roadster is that passing an exact copy of the car you're driving is a nailed-on certainty. Perhaps that's why Mazda is so keen to bring out one special edition after another, so that their clients can feel special behind the wheel of unique versions of the MX-5.Just last week a special edition of the power-retractable hard-top (PRHT) was revealed at the Chicago Auto Show, where a black roof was married to a selection of special paint jobs. These included Crystal White Pearl Mica for the US market and Spirited Green Metallic for Japanese and English markets. For Geneva, Mazda has decided to release another special edition that's been designed exclusively for the European market. Dubbed the 'MX-5 Special Edition Spring 2012,' it will be offered with either a soft top or PRHT and a choice of four colors.Radiant Ebony is the shade featured in the pictures and that's exclusive to this model, while Crystal White Pearl, Metropolitan Grey and Brilliant Black are the other options.Chrome headlamp inserts, grille surrounds and fog lamp bezels are other unique features of the exterior, while the interior benefits from 'Havana Brown' leather upholstery and stainless-steel pedals. The special edition will also be the first MX-5 to feature an integrated navigation system.
