Fiat’s big debut for the 2012 Beijing Motor Show has made its way onto the internet prematurely. The Fiat Viaggio is a rebadged Dodge Dart produced in the Far East for sale in both Europe and China. As the premier production built through the Italian company's partnership with Guangzhou Automobile Group, Fiat hopes the compact sedan will help the automaker improve upon their flagging sales in Europe. The Viaggio (Italian for 'journey') is simply a rebadged Dodge Dart, which is itself based on the Alfa Romeo Giulietta. As previously reported by CarBuzz, it measures 4,700mm long and 1,8630mm wide and is about the same size as a Ford Focus sedan. Locally-built naturally-aspirated and turbocharged versions of Fiat's 1.4-liter gasoline engine will power the Viaggio in China, and will be built in Hunan Province's Changsha Economic Zone. This is where Fiat and Guangzhou Auto's new factory is based, and where the partners plan an initial annual capacity of 140,000 units, which should rise quickly to 250,000. The Fiat Viaggo will make its official debut at the Beijing Motor Show, kicking off tomorrow April 23rd.
