The all-new 2015 ATS Coupe will be one of the first Cadillac models equipped with new OnStar 4G LTE – a faster and more reliable connection for in-vehicle applications, plus a new built-in Wi-Fi hot spot that can connect up to seven devices at once. With OnStar’s 4G LTE connection, the ATS Coupe becomes a mobile hub for consumers, providing easier access to apps and services that require a high-speed data connection. The vehicle employs an “always on” wireless connection, which does not rely on a brought-in mobile device. OnStar 4G LTE in the ATS Coupe includes five years of a free OnStar Basic Plan, which includes OnStar Vehicle Diagnostics email, Dealer Maintenance Notification, and RemoteLink Key Fob Services, allowing owners to lock or unlock doors, flash lights and honk the horn, or remotely start their vehicle from a smartphone. The OnStar RemoteLink app is available for Apple iOS, Android, Blackberry and Windows Mobile. The new, faster network can also be used to power CUE Collection, a new in-car app marketplace coming to Cadillac vehicles this year. Accessible via an icon on the eight-inch LCD touch screen, it will allow users to download apps directly to the CUE system and organize, update or delete them throughout the life of the vehicle. The initial list of apps includes iHeartRadio, Priceline.com, the Weather Channel, NPR, Slacker Radio, TuneIn Radio, Cityseeker, Eventseeker, Glympse and Kaliki. Cadillac CUE is the centerpiece of the ATS Coupe’s comprehensive collection of technologies designed to enhance the driving experience and complement customers’ increasingly connected lifestyles. It is available on base models and standard on Luxury, Performance and Premium ATS Coupes, with enhanced connectivity and convenience for 2015. CUE includes a new Text-to-Voice feature for smartphone users with Bluetooth profile (M.A.P.), which reads incoming texts through the car’s speakers, and Siri Eyes Free for iPhone iOS 6 and iOS 7 users to enhance connectivity and convenience. Each enables voice-controlled connectivity, to help keep phones in pockets and hands on the wheel. ONSTAR FAST FACT: OnStar Advisors currently respond to approximately 185,000 calls every day – more than two calls every second. Source: GM
