Another week, another special-edition Porsche, but this time the car in question is aimed purely at the burgeoning Chinese market. Pictured alongside is the "10 Year Anniversary Edition", which is essentially a 911 Turbo S with a handful of mods/options that include an Aerokit turbo nose, Gold Bronze Metallic paint, black Sport Classic wheels, black headlight surrounds and a carbonfibre bonnet and rear spoiler. Just 10 examples of the anniversary model, each individually numbered, are destined for Chinese buyers, each setting back their new owner the equivalent of half a million bucks. The limited-edition model comes in the wake of an eventful 10 years for Porsche in China. The first showroom opened in Beijing back in 2001, and just 27 Porsches were sold in the world's most populous nation in 2002. That figure mushroomed to 13,856 units in 2010, and the brand now has 31 showrooms in China. To mark the 10-year milestone and celebrate Porsche's spectacular Chinese growth curve, the anniversary model comes loaded with goodies as, apart from the aforementioned features, it also scores a leather/Alcantara-trimmed interior with gold stitching, Sport Design steering wheel and carbonfibre inserts on the door panels and sills. In addition, plaques denoting the bespoke 911's number in the 10-car production run are affixed to the right-front fender and the glove box. As per the donor car, motive power comes from a potent 3.8-litre twin-turbo flat-six that thumps out 390kW and 700Nm of torque. These outputs are channelled to all four wheels via a seven-speed PDK transmission, enabling the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.3 seconds and hit a top speed of 315km/h.
