Mercedes-Benz Cars Middle East has appointed Andreas Bueckmann as its new vice president and director of sales and marketing.
In his new role, Bueckmann will be responsible for sales and service operations, leading the Middle East region for Mercedes-Benz passenger cars, and he will be based at the company’s regional headquarters in the UAE, said a statement from the company.
With a degree in International Relations, he began his career as a consultant at Accenture, before joining Daimler AG in 2000 where he participated in the organisation’s International Management Associate Programme.
Gaining considerable product management experience that included the successful run-out of the Mercedes-Benz M-Class, Bueckmann was then charged with the management of the Customer Experience Centre and Product Management for Mercedes SLR McLaren in Woking, UK.
In 2007 he returned to Stuttgart where he assumed management responsibility for of the UK and Ireland markets.
In 2009, Bueckmann was appointed as director of sales for Mercedes-Benz Switzerland. His contribution during his five year tenure in Switzerland, let to an almost doubling in both volume of sales and market share for Mercedes-Benz.
