The National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) has urged motorists to exercise caution, reduce the speed and leave enough distance between vehicles because of the dust storm caused by active wind.
It added in a statement today that the continued active wind stirs dust on open areas, and at times causes low visibility.
The statement called on seafarers not to go to sea due to a tidal surge in the Arab Gulf, stressing the need for periodic follow-up of weather reports through the website or calling toll-free number or contacting the centre round the clock.
