The National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology, NCMS, has said that there will be cumulus clouds accompanied by some rain, lightning and thunder with strong winds which will stir up sand and dust and lower visibility in some exposed areas.
The Centre has urged motorists to be more cautious, drive slowly and leave enough distance between vehicles due to winds aggravating dust and sand.
In a statement released today, the NCMS also said that sporadic rain of varying intensity will fall on the west of Abu Dhabi, including the western coasts, the islands, Al Ruwais, Tarif, Madinat Zayed, Liwa and may reach Al Ain and some parts of the northern areas, especially coastal areas.
Saturday and Sunday will be partly cloudy to cloudy with northwesterly winds and aggravated dust and sand which will lead to a drop in temperatures.
Very rough seas are expected in the Arabian Gulf and Sea of Oman, added the NCMS.
