Arabian Gulf waters are still stormy with six to seven feet high waves and the national weather bureau has warned people to stay away from the sea. The strong north-western winds have been the cause of the problem offshore where even large and mid-sized vessels have been battling with high waves. "Small boats and fishing trawlers cannot survive out there," said a forecaster, noting that the conditions are likely to continue even on Wednesday. The weather is partly cloudy to cloudy on Tuesday and cold snap continues across the emirates. The amount of clouds would gradually increase over the northern emirates, however, the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) did not see any chance of rain on Tuesday. Winds are likely to blow dust and sand in some parts of the country especially in the western open-land area.
