The National Meteorology Department (DMN) predicted an important temperature drop starting this Thursday and running until Sunday in several Moroccan regions.
They are the provinces of Midelt, Tinghir, Azilal, Al Haouz, Beni Mellal, Boulemane and Ifrane where minimum temperatures would vary between -11 and -05 °C, while maximum temperatures will fluctuate between -03 and 00 °C, the DMN said on Tuesday in a special weather report.
The provinces of Ouarzazate, Errachidia, Figuig, Jerada, Taourirte, Guercif, Khenifra, Chichaoua, Sefrou, Taza, Elhajeb, Khemisset, Fquih Ben Saleh, Kalaâ Sraghna, Khouribga, Zagora, Taounate, Taroudante and Al Hoceima will witness minimum temperatures varying between 05 and 00 °C, while maximum temperatures should reach between 01 and 07 °C.
Cold weather will also affect the Mediterranean coast and the regions of Tangier, Loukkos, Gharb, Chaouia, Doukkala, Abda, Rhamna, Chiadma and Souss, with minimum temperatures varying between 00 and 06 °C and maximum temperatures between 07 and 13 °C.
