Struggling Canadian smartphone maker BlackBerry says its qwerty-keyboard equipped Q10 will be available from Sprint on Friday. The keyboard phone with a 3.1 inch touch screen will be offered at $199.99 with a two year contract, Sprint confirmed in a release Monday. The Q10, first revealed in January, runs a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, with 8-megapixel and 2-megapixel rear and front cameras, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. "Our customers have anxiously awaited the arrival of the BlackBerry Q10 smartphone," David Owens, vice president of Sprint product development, said in a statement. "Its best-in-class physical keyboard, productivity features, enhanced security capabilities and apps make it easy to be productive at work and connected to friends and family after hours." The Q10 was first offered for sale in Britain in April, and U.S. carriers Verizon and AT&T have been offering it since early summer. Sprint said it will offer the Q10 with its new Unlimited, My Way rate plan, with unlimited talk, text, and data starting at $80 per month, or with the My All-In plan with unlimited talk, text, and data as well as 5GB mobile hotspot usage for $100 per month.
