The organizing committee of Khaleeji21 Football Tournament has launched Khaleeji21 smartphones application for mobile phones, as part of a campaign aimed to provide opportunity in order for spectators to follow up latest news updates pertaining to Khaleej21 due to be hosted in the Kingdom of Bahrain in the period 5-18 January 2013. The application comes emanating from organizing committee's keenness on providing optimum services to the public to attract largest audiences to the contest amidst official and popular concern in view of the tournament's considerable significance for regional football. According to the designers (O2 Network)'s CEO Mr. Mohammed Al-Jehmani the software has been designed in order to be useful for users of Apple Store and Android operating systems featuring ease of usage and getting to know times and venues for the matches. Al-Jehmani explained that the application displays the relevant data of Khaleeji21 participating national teams in addition to a real-time updating of results of matches. According to O2 Network's CEO, Khaleeji 21 Application will provide users with better photographic view of goals displayable on the application's gallery. Also CMS software has been used in order to facilitate updating of existing data by programmers. Smartphone users shall be kept up to the minute with updated news reports from Khaleeji21 Football Championship linked with social media for users who would like to share the best goals or their team of choice with friends.
