President Abdel Fattah El Sisi held a meeting with Minister of Supply and Internal Trade Khaled Hanafy, Minister of Electricity Mohamed Shaker and Minister of Interior Magdi Abdel Ghafar, said Spokesman for Presidency Alaa Yousef.
The meeting tackled the latest developments in the fields of electricity and supply along with plans prepared by the two ministries during the coming period in cooperation with the ministry of interior, Yousef added.
The president was briefed on the reasons of the power cut in the Radio and TV HQ on Saturday.
Minister of Electricity said the power outage came due to a sudden technical malfunction in the electrical network of the building.
Sisi directed to take necessary measures to prevent any further recurrence.
Shaker reviewed his ministry’s preparations for the summer season.
For his part, Hanafy tackled the supply conditions in the Egyptian market.
The Ministry of Supply exerts continuous efforts to control prices and internal trade movement.
Sisi underlined the importance of providing all basic commodities for the citizens, calling for taking all possible measures to control price increases .
