Petroleum Minister Tarek el Molla said on Thursday that Egypt is seeking in the coming period to achieve significant development in energy field.
This came during Molla's speech to the second annual forum of the Egyptian Petroleum Ministry.
The forum is organized by the Arab American Chamber of Commerce under the title "increasing current investment opportunities of the US companies in the petroleum sector" on the sidelines of the Offshore Technology Conference in Houston, Texas.
During his speech, the minister reviewed the investment opportunities in Egypt in the petroleum, natural gas and petrochemicals fields as well as the latest developments concerning the petroleum sector in Egypt after new policies and strategies that aim to enhance economy and development.
The minister also inspected a number of pavilions of Arab and foreign companies as well as pavilions of private Egyptian companies.
