Egypt was elected to chair the general assembly of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) in 2016.
Egypt's Electricity Minister Mohamed Shaker is leading a high-level delegation in the proceedings of the sixth assembly of the IRENA, which is running today and tomorrow in Abu Dhabi.
Addressing the summit on Saturday, Shaker pointed out to Egypt's efforts in renewable energy field until 2050, according to a statement issued by the ministry on Saturday.
He also affirmed that Egypt and IRENA are keen on boosting cooperation between.
Egypt and the UAE are also working on promoting cooperation in this sphere, he added.
