A delegation from Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has visited Malaysia and Singapore to build closer ties with Malaysian and Singaporean energy, environment and water companies.

"We look at becoming a global role model in supporting the economic growth in Dubai and ensuring energy supply and efficiency of its use to realise our goals in environment and sustainability and transform the Emirate into a global hub for clean energy and green economy. This requires immense cooperation from competent energy sectors across the world," he added.

MATRADE organised a workshop in Menara MATRADE in Kuala Lumpur, entitled Business and Investment Opportunities to discuss collaboration with DEWA and invite Malaysian companies to participate in WETEX 2016. Deputy Chief Executive Officer of MATRADE introduced the DEWA delegation to Malaysian energy, water, environment, and solar energy companies.
