More and more schools and companies are pitching in their share to raise awareness on the importance of recycling through the annual Whatever Floats Your Boat event that will be held for the fifth time this Friday. Organised by InterContinental Dubai Festival City and Dubai Festival City Mall, the event requires schools and companies to build their own rafts out of recyclable materials to race along a portion of the Creek. This year, at least 18 company teams and 26 school teams will participate in the race to raise funds for the Emirates Wildlife Society in association with WWF to support its Marine Turtle Conservation Project. When the event was first launched in 2008, there were only a total of 12 teams — 10 company and two school teams. From : Gulfnews
