Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Hossam Moghazi will file a report Thursday to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab on the outcome of his official four-day visit to Juba.
Speaking to MENA, Moghazi said his visit launched a new era of cooperation with South Sudan.
The minister returned home on Thursday on top of a 30-expert delegation representing ministries of water resources, agriculture, education, electricity and culture.
During the visit, the Egyptian experts toured the site of a hydropower dam at Wau, 509 kilometers northwest of the capital Juba.
He took part in a conference in the South Sudanese capital to review the dam's economic and technical feasibility studies.
Also, the delegation visited water pumping stations in villages deprived from the drinking water.
Egypt calls on the donors to finance the construction of Wau's dam which will serve about 20,000 people, the minister said.
