Dr. Rashid Ahmed bin Fahad, Minister of Environment and Water and Dr Tariq Bin Moosa Al Zadjali, Director-General of the Arab Organisation for Agricultural Development (AOAD) today discussed ways to boost cooperation in projects and mutual programmes. In a meeting at the ministry headquarter today, Dr. Rashid affirmed UAE's support in agricultural development efforts and the evolution of new technologies in order to achieve sustainable development and raise the proportion of self-reliance and expand the research and capacity building. He also emphasized the importance of exchange of expertise between the parties and contribute to strengthening the work in the agricultural sector and livestock to achieve self-sufficiency. For his part, Al Zadjali hailed the role of the Ministry of Environment and Water in the area of food safety and the importance of documenting efforts in this area valuing the support of the state and the Ministry and their participation in the activities and programs implemented by the organization. At the end of the meeting, Al Zadjali presented the ''Annual report of the Arab Food Security'' and a memorial shield on the occasion of the 40 years of operation of the AOAD.
