Sheraton Dammam Hotel & Convention Center joined the rest of the world in March in celebrating Earth Hour and to shine a light on climate change by turning off the lights in the hotel.
“We invited our guests to join in the celebration over a cup of coffee. This created a great networking opportunity and atmosphere for everyone to enjoy,” said Benali Sari Ali, marketing manager of Sheraton Dammam.
He added: “But we went even further, engaging different teams in our hotel to take action. The temperature was turned up a few degrees, kitchen staff reduced their lighting, and we were still able to provide excellent service to guests.”
Earth Hour is a global movement for the planet organized by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). The event is held worldwide annually encouraging individuals, communities, households and businesses to turn off their non-essential light for one hour, on March 25 from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m.
