Dr Alaa Yasin, the official spokesman for the Ethiopian renaissance dam file, said the technical committee on the dam, which is made of 12 experts from Egypt, Sudan and Ethiopia, will receive in mid-May the amended technical offers from French and Dutch firms on the studies related to the dam.
In statements to MENA Tuesday, he said the committee will meet in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa to discuss the offers which, he said, would be approved by the three countries.
He expressed Egypt's keenness on fulfilling the mission of the firms as soon as possible to stave off any negative impacts on Egypt's and Sudan's quota of Nile water.
He pointed out that the three countries will shoulder the financial costs of the studies.
