A slight drop in temperatures is forecast today and it will be cold and partly cloudy in the northern and eastern regions while it is expected to be dusty in the southern and eastern parts of the Kingdom.
The Kingdom will be affected by a very cold deep depression of a polar origin centered over the island of Cyprus; therefore temperatures will drop dawn in the northern and central areas and it will be cloudy with a chance for rain in the northern regions extending to the central ones .
At night it will change to be very cold and cloudy with heavy rainfall at times in the northern areas accompanied by thunder and hail.
Late at night, snow fall is also expected in the hilly areas, especially in the northern heights while winds will be southwesterly to westerly brisk, blowing dust in the desert areas.
A tangible drop in temperatures is expected on Wednesday :Therefore, it will be very cold, cloudy and rainy in the northern and central parts of the country extending gradually to other southern and eastern regions. Rain will be accompanied by thunder and hail as well as snowfall on the heights over 700 meters, with southwesterly to westerly brisk winds accompanied by strong gusts in the deserts .
The weather will remain very cold, cloudy and rainy at times in most parts of the country on Thursday , with snow fall on the high mountainous areas.
In the evening hours a cold front air mass is expected to cause heavy rainfall accompanied by thunder, hail and snow on the heights over 700 m, with westerly brisk winds accompanied by strong gusts in the deserts at times .
Temperatures in Amman for today are expected to reach a high of 9 degrees Celsius and a low of 2.
