Head of the Suez Canal Authority Mohab Mamish said on Saturday that preparations are underway for the inauguration ceremony of the New Suez Canal.
"The ceremony will be of a world class," Mamish said to MENA, adding that the dredging works at the new waterway project will be finalized before a deadline in July.
The Suez Canal Authority will be responsible for running the Suez Canal Corridor Development project until a new body is formed, he made it clear.
"We await a Cabinet decision to take this responsibility and deal with the investors," he pointed out.
