Aswan High Dam Board Chairman Engineer Mohammad Abdel Moniem Shehata said precautionary measures have been taken to secure the dam's facilities and Aswan reservoir and face any unexpected rise in the River Nile levels at Nasser Lake behind the dam's body.
In statements on Monday, Shehata said there are no risks facing the dam's structure as preparations for the flooding season started in August and will continue till November.
Toskha reservoir has been prepared for receiving any surplus in water levels as it had been constructed to contain 340 million cubic meters of water along with other spillways that could receive about 60 billion cubic meters of water
