The production of electricity on Thursday is expected to surpass the consumption by 751 MW, the Egyptian Electric Utility and Consumer Protection Regulatory Agency said.
The expected maximum electricity load for today will be 26,500 MW against 26,800 MW on Wednesday, which saw the minimum load at 19,600 MW, the regulator said in a daily bulletin.
The load indicator appeared in green color from midnight to 3:15 p.m., meaning the load was safe at the time.
Turning orange indicates an urgent need to rationalize consumption, while red is a warning of the high load on the power grid.
