The Public Authority for Agriculture Affairs and Fish Resources (PAAAFR) on Thursday inaugurated the third season of the country's greening plan.
The PAAAFR seeks through its campaign, launched every year, to increase greening across the country to protect public gardens which have been suffering from meddling.
Nabila Al-Khalil, the PAAAFR's director general, called on Kuwait's six governorates to cooperate together in order to "beautify our state and dispose of damaged plants." In a press statement, Al-Khalil urged volunteers and the public to plant everywhere in order to expand greening in the country.
She asked people to use public gardens as a platform in order to raise awareness on the matter, and on schools and shopping centres to distribute brochures and leaflets to help people, young and old, understand the importance of protecting plants.
