Giza Governor Mohamed Kamal el Dali said on Thursday that the features of the new hygiene system will be announced within the upcoming days.
In statements to MENA, the governor said the system's specifics are currently being set by relevant authorities.
He added that he discussed with heads of districts and townships as well as head of hygiene department alternatives to implement a new hygiene system in the governorate.
They decided to confront the garbage problem via cooperating with households and also by dividing densely-populated areas like Imbaba and Boulaq El Dakrour into various sectors and using main and minor dumps.
He added that he also discussed the new system with ministers of environment and local development.
The Cleaning Authority and heads of districts and townships are now in charge of cleaning up streets till the new mechanism is announced.
