The State will release more than DZD 300 billion to fight and prevent against floods in flood-prone cities and areas, said Monday here the director of sanitation and environment protection at the Ministry of Water Resources Ahcene Ait Ammara. "The State will release a budget exceeding DZD 300 billion to address floods issue, particularly for the protection of 600 municipalities subject to flooding, but also for the protection of basic infrastructures, including public works infrastructures," Ait Ammara told the Algerian Radio. Floods issue is a "priority" for the Government, he stressed, explaining that, however, this issue "is not only the responsibility of the Ministry of Water Resources."
