Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab on Saturday has given instructions to develop Nile Corniche in Cairo and Qasr El Nil Bridge.
In a meeting attended by ministers of environment, irrigation and tourism as well as Cairo governor and representatives of concerned bodies, Mahlab said that developing this area is part of Old Cairo development project.
During the meeting, the prime minister was briefed on the plan adopted by Cairo governorate to develop this area.
The development plan includes providing vital and safe pedestrian pathways, allowing citizens to enjoy the Corniche area and protecting the Nile against encroachments.
