The Kuwaiti joint governmental voluntary team completed the cleaning of the seafront near the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Seif Palace, removing nine tons of waste in three days.
Kuwait Municipality, Kuwaiti diving Team and the Amiri Guards all cooperated in cleaning the area, said Head of the Kuwait Diving Team under the Environmental Voluntary Foundation Waleed Al-Fadhil on Wednesday.
Among the waste lifted were plastice objects, buoys, wood and ropes driven by wind and water currents, said Al-Fadhil, adding that these objects pose danger on the maritime environment and could also affect navigation.
