The Kuwait Environment Protection Society (KEPS) has held a photo exhibition displaying pictures of various birds' species and manifesting Kuwait as a main passing route for migratory birds.
Up to 40 photos of birds shot in Kuwait were displayed at the Avenues Mall, said Saad Al-Nouri, a member of KEPS' birds protection team, in remarks to KUNA, alluding to the exhibition that ended late on Saturday.
The photos showed diverse species, each bird's scientific and local name, with captions including brief information about each animal, its habitat and its settlement duration in Kuwait.
He added that Arab and foreign wildlife experts are regularly in contact with the association to examine its updated information about spotted birds in Kuwait.
The society has monitored up to 402 bird species in the country.
