The Water Authority of Jordan (WAJ) and Oxfam Organization on Thursday signed an agreement to provide equipment to Al Balqa Water Directorate.
The WAJ Secretary General, Tawfiq Habashneh, singed the agreement with Oxfam's representative, Geoffrey Poynter.
Habashneh said the local communities which host Syrian refugees have had to bear the burden of increased demands on civic amenities, including water and power.
Poynter assured that Oxfam will supply equipment to the Ain Al Basha and Al-Baqa'a areas where refugee camps are located to make water supply more efficient and cut down on water losses.
