Water Resources and Irrigation Minister Hossam Moghazi along with his accompanying delegation headed to Ethiopia Friday to take part in meetings of the national committee on Ethiopia's Renaissance Dam.
Egyptian, Ethiopian and Sudanese delegations will take part in the committee that will start its meeting on Saturday.
Experts from the three countries will work to develop a mechanism of the 12-expert national committee.
They will also discuss how to coordinate to provide information and data required by the international advisory office.
The Egyptian delegation will make an exploratory tour of the site of the Ethiopian Renaissance Dam on Sunday, upon an invitation from the Ethiopian water and electricity ministry.
Egypt, Ethiopia and Sudan formed a tripartite technical committee last year to study the possible effects of Ethiopia's dam.
