Iraqi Minister of Agriculture Fallah Hasan al Zidane discussed during a meeting on Monday with Egyptian Ambassador in Baghdad Ahmed Darwish means to cement cooperation in the fields of agriculture, research and training.
The Iraqi minister praised, in statements following the meeting, Egypt's expertise in the field of farming, pointing out that his country was looking forward to cooperation with Egypt in the agriculture domain.
He called on Egyptian companies to increase their investments in Iraq especially in the fields of farming and irrigation.
For his part, the Egyptian ambassador told MENA that Egypt is keen on backing Iraq through increasing Egyptian investments in the agricultural field and meeting the needs of the Iraqi people.
