Freshmen had a slightly rough day on Thursday out in the Arabian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman as strong north-westerly winds rocked their trawlers. The winds are being pushed in by a system over the eastern Saudi Arabia but they will not have much impact on the current hot weather across the country. According to the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS), winds were strong all along the western coastline of the UAE that were also generating several feet high waves. The centre said weather will be relatively hot in general during the weekend but could get partly cloudy at times over the eastern areas by afternoon. Winds would be light to moderately rough, getting strong at times and kicking up dust and sand in the open areas. Humidity is also likely to increase in the coastal and internal areas at night and early in the morning. Sea will remain slight to moderately rough with two to four feet high waves.
