Human Appeal International U.A.E., HAI, has implemented an initiative in the Palestinian territories in response to U.A.E. Suqia, launched by Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, to deliver safe drinking water to five million people around the world.
Ibrahim Rashid, Director of the HAI Office in the West Bank, said that since the beginning of the Holy Month of Ramadan the organisation has been distributing thousands of water bottles. He added that HAI had spent AED500,000 to provide half a million bottles of mineral water to be distributed at Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Sheikh Azzam Khatib, Director-General of Jerusalem’s Awqaf Department, commended the U.A.E. Suqia initiative which demonstrates the U.A.E.'s interest in helping people wherever they are, especially the Palestinians who are living in difficult circumstances.
The beneficiaries expressed their thanks and appreciation for the U.A.E.'s humanitarian work, particularly the Suqia initiative.
