Palestinian Authorities in Gaza have raised the state of high alert to face the snowstorm "Huda that is striking Palestine, Jordan and other Arab countries.
In light of lack of capabilities, power cuts, shortage of fuel supplies and the worn-out infrastructures, Gazans are extremely afraid of being severely hit and affected by the rainy and snowing thunderstorm.
Gaza municipality has formed an emergency committee to face any potential humanitarian disaster by the storm.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health called on citizens to abide by safety measures, asserting its readiness to deal with the consequences of the storm.
In December 2013, more than 5,000 people in Gaza have been evacuated from their homes because of severe floods caused by Storm Alexa
