The EU has lifted the ban on Kuwait's participation in international Arabian horse shows and competitions, announced on Wednesday the Public Authority for Agriculture and Fisheries (PAAF).
The lifting of the ban was decided after reports by the World Organization for Animal Health cleared Kuwait of not having any diseases affecting the breed of Arabian horses, said PAAF's board chairwoman Nabila Al-Khalil, in a statement to KUNA.
She noted that PAAF goes strictly by rules and regulations governing the importation and exportation of horses in Kuwait and their participation in international competitions, emphasizing in that regard the PAAF's coordination with the EU and other pertinent countries.
