Head of the international cooperation department of the European Union Delegation to Egypt Angel Gutierrez on Sunday said that the EU supports Egypt's water integrated plan.
At the end of the third conference of joint talks on water between Egypt and the European Union, Gutierrez added that Egypt has great prospects for sustainable development, especially in the water sector.
The EU official said that several Egyptian mega projects in the water field were reviewed during the conference.
He added that those projects give a great hope about the future of Egypt.
For his part, Undersecretary of Irrigation Ministry Essam Khalifa said that the EU finances several water projects in Egypt at value of 340 million euros.
He added that the ministry presented four important water projects for the EU to help in implementing them.
The conference also dealt with Egypt's 1.5-million reclamation project and preparing a comprehensive feasibility study for the project.
