Prime Minister Sherif Ismail held a meeting on Monday to follow up an integrated national project to develop Nasser Lake.
The meeting was also attended by ministers of planning, housing, irrigation, interior, local development, tourism, agriculture, transportation, health, trade and petroleum, as well as Aswan governor and other officials representing the authorities concerned.
During the meeting, the prime minister issued directives on forming a joint authority responsible for setting a unified framework for the development projects and activities expected to be held in the Lake Nasser area, provided that they would not negatively affect its ecosystem.
He also asserted the importance of committing to issue all required licenses from the permanent coordination committee which groups all the authorities concerned.
A fish factory located in the area shall also be operated, along with establishing another hi-tech factory, according to the premier.
