Irrigation Minister Hossam Moghazi met on Wednesday with the Congolese minister of water to discuss ways of maximizing benefits from water resources and boosting bilateral relations in all fields.
Egypt is currently establishing projects worth $10.5 million in the Democratic Republic of Congo as part of a technical cooperation deal between the two countries, Moghazi said.
Such projects include digging 30 wells and exchanging expertise in the fields of water resources and irrigation, he noted.
A package of water projects is now established in Democratic Congo under a $4.5 million grant, Moghazi said.
He added that such projects include digging 75 wells and establishing five dams to store rainwater.
