The Central Agency for Construction on Saturday announced the start of experimental operation of Beni-Mazar/Bouweti road as part of a national plan for development of roads carried out by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Communities.
Director General of the Authority of the Central Agency for Construction Nehad Salem said the new road, extending for 196 kilometers, will link between Minya's township of Beni Mazar and Bouweti village in the Baharia Oasis, noting that this road would contribute to the agricultural development of both sides of the roads which extends to more than 300,000 feddans where underground water could be used for establishing new urban communities along with investment zones.
He also said the road would help in the tourism development of the area extending from the Red Sea till the Bahraia Oasis passing by Minya governorate.
